The Cocalico Area Fire Department is always looking for new members. A fire department requires many people to operate effectively, from active firefighters to support personnel. There are many ways for you to help your community with the Cocalico Area Fire Department.

If you would like to be a firefighter or EMT, but do not have any experience please don't let that hold you back. We provide in-house and certified training to members to help them become firefighters/EMTs. If you have any questions about what is involved with becoming a firefighter please reach out to us on our Facebook page or by email. If you see us at one of our stations feel free to stop in and discuss becoming a member of the Cocalico Area Fire Department.

If you would like to become a member and meet the membership requirements, please complete the application and background checks via the documents at the bottom of the page and drop off your application and $5.00 application fee at one of our stations. Once your application is presented at a monthly business meeting (second Monday of each month) you can begin your probationary period with the Fire Company.

Membership Application Requirements:

- 14 years of age or older (under 18 must have parent/guardian signature)

- Application filled out in its entirety

- $5.00 application fee

- PA State Police Criminal Background Check (completed within the last year)

- PA Child Abuse Clearance (completed within the last year)
